JOHANNESBURG - The Gauteng Health Department on Monday confirmed yet another death from listeriosis.

The department says a pregnant woman died from the disease at the Steve Biko Academic Hospital in Pretoria on Saturday.

This brings the national death toll to 37.

There's currently over 550 reported cases of listeriosis since its outbreak was announced last week.

Health officials say cases have been reported in Gauteng, Kwazulu-Natal and the Western Cape.
