JOHANNESBURG - The Premier Soccer League charged both Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns for the violent disruptions during a match between the two clubs at Loftus Versveld.

Pirates face charges relating to the conduct of their supporters on 11 February 2017, while Sundowns face charges of failing to supply adequate security.

The PSL's decision comes after fans vented their fury with a pitch invasion as a rampant Sundowns took a 6-0 lead against Pirates. The match was subsequently halted with approximately eight minutes remaining, but resumed about an hour after the incident.
