Midrand schoolboys' fight ends tragically with scissors stabbing

JOHANNEBURG – A pupil at the Tsosoloso Ya Afrika secondary school in Midrand, was stabbed and killed after the close of the school day by another pupil on Monday afternoon, said Police spokesperson Katlego Mogale.

Mogale said, “A fight broke out between two boys aged 16 and 17 at the school, one pulled out a scissors and stabbed the other one. He was certified dead at the scene by emergency services.”

The incident took place after schools closed for the day at around 2:30 pm.

The boy who is a minor was taken into police custody.

Police are investigating what sparked the fight.
