JOHANNESBURG –  Kempton Park model agency boss Dawie de Villiers, guilty of various charges including rape, sexual assault and fraud, is expected to appear in the South Gauteng High Court on Friday.

The judge is expected to rule on whether the case can be postponed to January.

On October 5, De Villiers made a request to remain a free man until 2018.

“We’d like to be granted a postponement to 22 January 2018 due to the probation officer being diagnosed with breast cancer,” advocate Riaan Greyling said at the time.

De Villiers, the founder of Modelling South Africa, was found guilty in February of rape, sexual assault, sexual grooming, fraud, exposure of pornography to children and access to child pornography.

He has been granted bail of R15,000.
