JOHANNESBURG - The South African Social Security Agency (Sassa) said it&39;s working hard to comply with the Constitutional Court&39;s April 2018 deadline to find an alternative grants distributor.
The agency briefed MPs on Tuesday.
It&39;s confirmed it&39;s now in a position to phase out Cash Paymaster Services.
The agency said it&39;s made some inroads towards trying to identify an alternative service provider.
"We have to still comply with the deadlines and try and squeeze ourselves to be able to meet our deadlines which is sometimes beyond our control and we need to speed up our processes and again to always brief the con court on progress and challenges, said Sassa Acting CEO Pearl Bhengu.
