CAPE TOWN - #UniteBehind, a coalition of civil society organisations, hosted a debate on whether or not the vote of no confidence in President Jacob Zuma should be done in secret.

Among the panelists were Dr Makhosi Khoza, Bantu Holomisa and Steven Friedman.

The Constitutional Court recently ruled that National Assembly Speaker Baleka Mbete is mandated to decide whether to have an open or a secret ballot, after the UDM took the issue to court.

#UniteBehind wants the ANC to recall President Zuma, the nuclear deal to be scrapped, and for South Africans to unite behind rooting out corruption in government and business.

All eyes will be on Khoza after the ANC Chief Whip sent out a statement last week criticising her for comments she’s been making in the media.

Will she continue her approach or will she toe the party line?
