JOHANNESBURG - Deputy Finance Minister Mcebisi Jonas says Reverend Makhenkesi Stofile was vocal about the ANC going astray and the need for stronger leadership.
Jonas was speaking ahead of Stofile&39;s funeral at the historic Fort Hare University in Alice in the Eastern Cape on Thursday morning.
Finance Minister Pravin Gordhan is also there.
"Comrade Stofile [was a] ... very brave as a leader," said Jonas. "... he believed in consultative processes and in the ANC as a collective ... He was vocal about the state of affairs in our country and in the ANC ... the leadership can be stronger ... and turn the country around....we are going astray in addressing these issues."
