JOHANNESBURG - A teenage boy has been convicted of the murder of a farm couple in Limpopo after he pleaded guilty, Beeld reported on Saturday.

The 16-year-old pleaded guilty on Friday to the murders of Will, 69, and Anje Kiesling, 66, as well as the theft of a gun, two cellphones and the couple&39;s bakkie.

He appeared before Magistrate Gerhard Pretorius in the Mokopane Magistrate&39;s Court.

The proceedings were held behind closed doors because the boy is a minor. He is expected to be sentenced on January 7.

The boy was arrested at his guardian&39;s house in Mossel Bay, Western Cape, in March.

He initially appeared in the Mossel Bay Magistrate&39;s Court, and the matter was transferred to Mokopane because the bodies of the couple were discovered on their farm near Lephalale in Limpopo.

Police found the bodies after the couple&39;s relatives had been unable to contact them.
