Tshwane unrest death toll rises to five

JOHANNESBURG – Two more bodies were found at Central City Shopping Centre in Mabopane, Tshwane after looting and violent protests continued on Thursday.

The bodies were found by police and journalists covering this morning’s events.

The discovery takes the death toll up to five.

Protests were sparked earlier this week when the ANC announced Thoko Didiza as its mayoral candidate for Tshwane. Residents object to this choice.
