JOHANNESBURG -  Media company, TV Yabantu, will stage a march against Google and Facebook in central Johannesburg on Wednesday.

It said the social media giants regularly single out African cultural content and through age restrictions, flag it as inappropriate for the online community and advertisers.

TV Yabantu said this leads viewers into thinking cultural practices like women exposing their breasts are sexual in nature.

It also said this leads to Google users verbally abusing African women and children or targeting them as sex objects.
