CAPE TOWN - The University of Cape Town plans to go ahead with final examinations, despite chaos on its campus this morning.
A fire at its lower campus has been extinguished.
Protesters have placed barricades on the upper campus.

The university says it’s clearing burning tyres.
The institution&39;s workers and students planned to march to Parliament on Monday.
They are demanding a reply to a memorandum, handed over to government last month.
The protesters want the outsourcing of services banned.
