MPUMALANGA - The African National Congress (ANC)'s second biggest province in terms of membership numbers, Mpumalanga, heads into its Provincial General Council (PGC) meeting on Friday.
More than 5,000 delegates are expected to attend what could end up in a court battle, as seen in other provinces, ahead of the ruling party's December national elective conference.
Deputy President Cyril Ramaphosa is perceived to be in the lead and appears likely to win the province.
The ANC in Gauteng will also hold its own PGC meeting later on Friday.
- Editor's note: eNCA.com will live stream the opening of the Gauteng PGC at 7pm on Friday.
