JOHANNESBURG - The Independent Examinations Board matric results are out.

More than 98 percent of its matriculants passed.

Johannesburg&39;s Redhill School is celebrating a new record.

The class of 2017 averaged more than three distinctions per pupil.

Three of their top achievers are Maiya Harvey with eight distinctions, Muleya Siakachoma with seven distinctions and Oliver Brandkamp with seven distinctions.

Another Johannesburg school is also hailing their class of 2017.

SAHETI School matriculants scored a number of distinctions.

Panos Hadjipaschalis achieved a full house of nine distinctions, and Demetra Stephanou achieved seven distinctions.

What&39;s more, all their marks were in the A-plus category.

Matriculants at Johannesburg&39;s Sacred Heart College are also celebrating their results.

The school achieved a 100 percent pass rate.

The school&39;s top achievers include Jordyn Walker and Astrid Kuhn.

Four of St John&39;s College&39;s top achievers also joined eNCA in studio.

Hlumelo Mtshali got four distinctions, William Kerr-Phillips wrote 11 subjects and got nine distinctions and Nic Brinkmann and Ernst Hecther both achieved nine distinctions.
