CAPE TOWN - Newly-appointed Deputy President David Mabuza says he’s waiting on President Cyril Ramaphosa to assign him duties.

The ANC deputy president and former Mpumalanga premier is now the country’s second-in-command.

Mabuza was sworn in on Tuesday.

Ramaphosa&39;s deputy said he&39;ll be next to the president to assist him.

Meanwhile, the Treatment Action Campaign (TAC) has raised concerns about Mabuza&39;s appointment.

In a statement, the organisation said Mabuza&39;s appointment posed a threat to the struggle against HIV and TB in the country.
