JOHANNESBURG - A police officer has been caught napping on duty in Mpumalanga.
A video making the rounds on social media, features the officer slouched on a chair.
He's unperturbed by the noise of his colleagues trying to wake him up.
A preliminary probe suggests the incident took place at KwaMhlanga police station.
The Mpumalanga police boss has condemned the incident.
It comes just days after another officer was caught on camera discussing her DStv account rather than helping people at a Sandton station.
Police Minister Fikile Mbalula has launched the MyPoliceStation campaign to encourage the public to report poor police service.
Thank you South Africa for using social media to alert me on SAPS service failures, we've intervened - continue to alert me #MyPoliceStation pic.twitter.com/XCHqMQYzYg
