JOHANNESBURG - Video footage of a SAPS officer has gone viral, depicting an officer handling personal business on the phone instead of assisting people in the Buccleuch satellite station.
The footage depicts the officer on the phone with Multichoice attempting to fix a problem with her account.

The Acting Provincial Commissioner of the Police in Gauteng, Major General Napo noted the video clip that has gone viral in a statement.
"Such conduct by any member of the SAPS is unbecoming and can never be condoned, as ours is first and foremost, to serve and to protect, said Major General Napo.
The Acting Provincial Commissioner has, therefore, sanctioned an internal investigation into the conduct of the member, with immediate effect.
In a tweet the Minister of Police, Fikile Mbalula, said action will be taken against the police officer involved.
