eNCA spoke to US Reverend Jesse Jackson outside Winnie Madikizela-Mandelas house in Orlando West, Soweto.
JOHANNESBURG –American Civil Rights activist, Reverend Jesse Jackson is in the country ahead of Mama Winnie’s funeral.
He said Madikizela-Mandela gave birth to the struggle movement.
“We have come here today to express our thanks to her and condolences to her family. When Winnie died, she multiplied.”
“She never stooped fighting...she never left the belly of the beast.”
The ANC is calling on its members to come out in their numbers to observe the motorcade along the route from Kopano Funeral Parlour to the residence.
The struggle veteran will be buried on Saturday in Fourways.
On Friday night, the ANC will hold a vigil at the Orlando community hall.
