JOHANNESBURG - Water Minister Nomvula Mokonyane&39;s media briefing on plans to deal with several municipalities owing over R10-billion, has been postponed.

The department gave nearly 30 defaulting municipalities until Friday to clear their debts or face water cuts.

Mokonyane will provide details about agreements reached with certain municipalities in settling their outstanding debts of more than 60 days.

Last month, the department informed the municipalities of its intention to reduce water supply, should they fail to make arrangements.
