Offices of KPMG in Johannesburg
JOHANNESBURG - KPMG has denied claims that it ignored dodgy dealings by the Guptas during its work for companies linked to the family.
The firm’s top executives appeared before Parliament’s public accounts committee earlier on Thursday.
They say the work done for the Guptas was above board.
"There was no evidence that suggested as part of the audit process. The level of skeptisicm applied was not sufficient and it should have resulted in more audit work being done in certain audit areas," said Gary Pickering from KPMG.
