JOHANNESBURG - Newly promoted Absa Premiership side Chippa United have reportedly appointed Steve Komphela as their new head coach.

Chippa United Chief Operating Officer Peter Koutroulis told eNCA that Komphela&39;s move is yet to be confirmed.

Koutroulis also said the club will only comment following their management meeting.

It is believed that the Cape side have opted to end their relationship with Vladislav Heric, who signed a two-year deal in January and guided the Chilli Boyz to automatic promotion.

According to Maritzburg United, Komphela is still their coach and they are unaware of the move.

Should Komphela join Chippa, it will be his third club in nine months.
