Proteas announce squad for World Cup

Cricket South Africa have announced their 15-man squad that will represent the Proteas at the World Cup next month. Hashim Amla has been included in the squad for the 2019 Cricket World Cup in England and Wales. Courtesy #DStv403

JOHANNESBURG - South Africa's selectors named the Proteas squad for the 2019 ICC Cricket World Cup.

Faf du Plessis will lead the team in England and Wales as the tournament is set to take centre stage between 30 May and 14 July. 

Veteran batsman Hashim Amla got the nod after ongoing speculation that he would not feature in this year's tournament. 

Experienced Duminy has played 194 ODI's for South Africa while Miller has the highest career strike rate in ODI cricket for the Proteas amongst the active players.

In just 123 matches, Steyn has taken a whopping 194 ODI wickets.
