DURBAN - South Africa won the toss and chose to bowl first against New Zealand in their T20 International at Kingsmead, in Durban, on Friday.

Regular Proteas T20 captain, Faf du Plessis picked up an injury shortly before the game and AB de Villiers took over the captaincy role. In the place of Du Plessis, Morne van Wyk comes in and will also take the gloves behind the stumps.

The Proteas also opted to go with Aaron Phangiso instead of Eddie Leie in the spin department.

South Africa team: Hashim Amla, Morne van Wyk (wk) , AB de Villiers (capt), Rilee Rossouw, David Miller, Farhaan Behardien, David Wiese, Aaron Phangiso, Kyle Abbott, Kagiso Rabada, Morne Morkel.
