Durban July | Kommetdieding targets another win

Last year, Kommetdieding became only the fourth horse to win from an unfavourable draw. The historic win turned out to be a bittersweet moment for both owner Ashwin Reynolds and trainer Michelle Rix. eNCA's Siphokazi Malinga reports. #DStv403

DURBAN - The Durban July is one of the biggest events on the South African horse racing calendar.

This year’s edition is set to take place on 2 July, with defending champion Kommetdieding making a return to Greyville.

The five-year-old colt made history last year as the first black-owned horse to win the prestigious race.
