JOHANNESBURG - Boxing is still, by and large, a male-dominated sport but one female has made it her mission to change this perception.

Mbali Zantsi has been a promoter since 2003 and she wants to see more females follow in her footsteps.

Zantsi took a liking to boxing when she was at University in the Western Cape.

It was under the tutelage of renowned promoter Mzi Mnguni, when she started learning the tricks of the trade as a promoter.

Zantsi has come a long way since she received her boxing license 14 years ago.
