CAPE TOWN - Petter Solberg is one of the world legends of off-road racing.
The Norwegian is a former WRC and Rallycross World Champion.
He was in South Africa recently at the launch of the Cape Town leg of the FIA World Rallycross Championship.
Solberg, a household name in the motorsport fraternity, inherited his love for fast cars from his parents who were keen competitors in his native Norway.
In South Africa the legal age to obtain a driver’s licence is 18.
Solberg was behind the wheel much earlier than that.
