JOHANNESBURG - Former Springbok Ashwin Willemse says the Human Rights Commission taking over a probe into his studio walk-out can help restore dignity to South Africans.

The HRC is probing racism allegations levelled against SuperSport

The probe will kick off in February.

One of its terms of reference deals with whether Willemse's dignity was violated.

"My difficulty has always been to deal with what was transpiring. This is not a small thing you know," said Willemse.

"Perhaps this will allow through the Human Rights Commission and their process to bring dignity back to the table."
