Football fans see red after SABC PSL blackout

JOHANNESBURG - As the Absa Premiership got underway this weekend, millions of football lovers could not watch or hear their favourite teams in action.

After a tug-of-war over viewing rights, the games will not be broadcast on SABC platforms.

According to a statement from the Premier Soccer League, SuperSport has accused the SABC of wanting a 96 percent discount to air the games.

This is not the first time that there have been blackouts at the SABC.
