SA almost shocks world champs in World Cup semi

JOHANNESBURG - South Africa lost their semi-final clash in the Netball World Cup on Saturday.

The Proteas were beaten 55-53 by defending champions and world number one, Australia.

This was the Proteas' first appearance in the semis.

Australia will meet either World Cup hosts England or New Zealand in the final. 

SA will play for 3rd place on Sunday.
