JOHANNESBURG - Kaizer Chiefs Football Club announced on Thursday that goalkeeper coach Alexandre Revoredo has died.

According to the club, the Brazilian mentor, who joined Kaizer Chiefs in June 2016, passed away after a short illness at the Life Bedford Gardens Hospital in Bedfordview on Wednesday morning.

The club said in a statement that Revoredo was rushed to hospital on Sunday, after complaining about pains in his abdomen.

Unfortunately, his condition deteriorated on Tuesday and he eventually succumbed on Wednesday morning, despite significant medical intervention.

The former Orlando Pirates goalkeeper coach boasted a wealth of experience, having worked closely with various PSL clubs.
