DURBAN - Filly Sparkling Water won the Durban July's main race at the Greyville race course.
It looked like a close run affair going into the final stretch but jockey Smanga Khumalo found an extra gear to take Sparkling Water clear of the competition.

The filly, trained by Mike de Kock, went on to take first place.
Jet Dark finished second with Safe Passage completing the top three.
Defending champion Kommetdieding finished fifth this time.
