CAPE TOWN – South Africa’s 400m Olympic champion Wayde van Niekerk has started rehabilitation after a successful knee operation at Steadman Clinic in Colorado on Tuesday.

Peet van Zyl of In-Site Athlete Management who manages Van Niekerk said the athlete started rehab on Wednesday. He will remain in Colorado for two more weeks to continue his recovery.
Van Niekerk will spend a short while in South Africa before flying out to Doha for further treatment and is likely to stay there for about six weeks.
