Facebook users have experienced difficulties logging into the social media site.

JOHANNESBURG - Facebook users have taken to social media to report that the website is down.

Down Detector -- a website dedicated to detecting online issues -- said that issues affecting users have been reported worldwide.

However, the bulk of the issue seems to be concentrated in the United Kingdom.

According to its data, about 39 percent of users have been left unable to log in to the social network.

Enraged customers took to social media to complain about the problems.

Facebook users have shared a few suggestions to solve the problem

Performing a hard refresh on the webpage appears to load the social network – enabling users to access their newsfeed, share posts and statuses as usual.

A hard refresh will clear the web browser’s cache for a specific page – forcing it to load the most recent version of a page.

Some users have claimed that using an Incognito window in Google Chrome solves the problem, too.

Incognito mode allows you can browse the Internet in private without Chrome saving the sites you visit.
