It will be a cold Monday night over much of the interior. Cold air pushes in behind the cold front, with some minimums even dropping below zero overnight. Cool to mild conditions are forecast for the eastern part of the country.
Heatwave conditions come to an end on Tuesday. Cool to mild temperatures expected across South Africa, with most maximums expected to peak in the upper teens and twenties. Significantly cooler conditions are forecast for KwaZulu-Natal, Mpumalanga and Limpopo. Temperatures stay warm in the north east, despite the cooler air pushing in from the east.
A 40% chance of rain is forecast for KZN and the southern parts of the Western Cape. Cloudy weather and a slight possibility of light rain is expected for Mpumalanga. Isolated thundershowers and showers are forecast for western Limpopo.
