A mild night is forecast for the extreme north eastern parts of South Africa, but it'll be a cold night for the rest of the country.
A sizzling hot Saturday is in store for the extreme north eastern part of South Africa. Much cooler temperatures are expected for most of the country as cooling reaches the central and north eastern interior. It'll be a chilly last day of August.
A band of rain could still move through the south western parts very early on Saturday morning. A 40% chance of rain is expected in the vicinity of Port Elizabeth, where it will also be very windy. Isolated showers and thundershowers are possible for KwaZulu-Natal and parts of Mpumalanga but with dry conditions persisting across the interior.
