Bulgaria to extradite suspect linked to Paris attacks

SOFIA - Bulgaria will extradite a French national suspected of having links to the Charlie Hebdo magazine attackers in Paris, an Administrative Court rules.

Haitian-born Fritz-Joly Joachin, 29, told the court in Haskovo that he was not opposed to the extradition.

He was arrested January 1 at the border with Turkey on a warrant from France for allegedly kidnapping his 3-year-old son.

After the January 7 massacre at the Charlie Hebdo magazine in Paris, it emerged that France also wanted Joachin as an alleged participant in the organiSation of the attack.

Joachin denied that he took part in the organisation, but admitted to knowing one of the attackers since childhood.
