Nafiz Modack trial witness forced to flee after threats

CAPE TOWN - The Western Cape High Court heard from a witness testifying from Dubai about how he fled Cape Town following threats from one of the accused in the Nafiz Modack case.

The trial of the alleged underworld boss, former rugby player Zane Kilian and 13 others is continuing in the Western Cape High Court.

Together they face 124 charges, including murder, attempted murder, fraud, corruption, extortion and money laundering.

They’ve pleaded not guilty to all the charges, including the murder of anti-gang unit investigator Charl Kinnear.

They are also charged with the attempted murder of well-known lawyer, William Booth.
