Lotriet first DA MP to become Deputy Speaker

JOHANNESBURG - For the first time in democratic South Africa, a DA MP has been elected Deputy Speaker.

Annelie Lotriet was elected to the top position.

She was nominated by her party and supported by the ANC as part of the GNU agreement.
