JOHANNESBURG - Concern is growing over the high tertiary drop-out rate, specifically linked to poorly-aligned subject choices. 

Experts say this is a silent crisis that needs to be addressed as it leaves many student “dropouts” - along with their families - financially worse off than they were before leaving school.

Research shows that one in eight students believed they had not made the right choice of study when they first chose their careers.
