Dumisani Khumalo recieves medical care after falling ill

JOHANNESBURG - The South African Police Service (SAPS) national spokesperson, Athlenda Mathe, says Crime Intelligence boss, Dumisani Khumalo is receiving medical care.

The Madlanga Commission of Inquiry had to be adjourned for the day after Khumalo was unable to to testify due to illness.

Khumalo is the forth witness to be called before the commission.

Speaking on his health, Mathe affirmed that Khumalo's well-being is a priority.

Mathe says the commission will be kept updates on Khumalo's well being and when he will be ready to take the stand.

"[National Police Commissioner Fannie Masemola] is in contact with the  senior officer and confirms that he is in good spirit and is taking health advice from his physician," Mathe says.
