DStv premiership | Makgopa stars for Buccaneers

JOHANNESBURG - Orlando Pirates revived their slim hopes of winning the DStv Premiership title or at the very least finishing second.

The Buccaneers saw off Polokwane City by a solitary Evidence Makgopa strike at the Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane.

The visitors dominated with the ball and had one more attempt on target than the Rise and Shine.

Pirates have now leapfrogged Stellenbosch into fourth position with 29 points.

However, they are 13 points adrift of pacesetters Mamelodi Sundowns who have two games in hand.

The Sea Robbers host Cape Town Spurs on Wednesday before taking on arch-rivals Kaizer Chiefs in the Soweto Derby.
