Discussion | Concerns over voter apathy among youth

JOHANNESBURG - With less than a month before the polls, election fever is heating up.

The increased number of parties and independents means the polls will be hotly contested.

But, concerns are being raised about voter apathy.

Of the 43m eligible voters, just over 27m are registered to vote.

The Council for the Advancement of the South African Constitution says many young people are not registered.
