KZN floods | Five confirmed dead after heavy weekend rains

MARGATE - At least five people died in floods and heavy rains on the KwaZulu-Natal South Coast over the weekend.

Damage to property and infrastructure is still being assessed.

It comes as the province still reels from the devastating floods in 2022.

The Margate Businesses Association's Stephen Herbst said the floods had a huge impact on the area.

"i think a lot of the damage will only be seen once we've cleaned up and the municipality gets really involved."
