JOHANNESBURG - Former President Jacob Zuma's appeal at the electoral court has been successful.

Zuma and his party, uMkhonto WeSizwe, challenged the Electoral Commission's decision to have him removed from its list of candidates eligible to contest the elections.

The IEC argued that Zuma's jail sentence bars him from entering the race.
