Cellphone evidence under the spotlight at Meyiwa murder trial

The fifth state witness and cellphone analyst Moses Mabasa took the stand in the Senzo Meyiwa murder trial on Tuesday.

JOHANNESBURG - The fifth state witness and cellphone analyst Moses Mabasa took the stand in the Senzo Meyiwa murder trial on Tuesday.

He faced a tough cross-examination after revealing shocking information.

State Prosecutor Advocate George Baloyi told the court that the cellphone of the accused was confiscated when he was arrested and various photos were found including a gun and money.  

Meyiwa was shot and killed in a Vosloorus home on 26 October 2014.
