Ramaphosa Mkhwanazi Mchunu
After a wild week of police corruption drama, President Cyril Ramaphosa has finally announced that he will address the allegations made by General Mkhwanazi about Senzo Mchunu, Cat Matlatla and Brown Mogotsi.

This is a big call as it not only affects the South African justice system but also the very formation of the national government, as the Democratic Alliance opens yet another court case against the ANC. So, what options does President Ramaphosa have and what direction could he take to protect his party, his minister and the GNU?

The story gripping South Africa continues to unfold, now with the Democratic Alliance entering the fray.

After General Mkhwanazi made his explosive accusations on Sunday, predominantly directed at Police Minister Senzo Mchunu, the Minister has changed his story on whether he knows certain relevant individuals, like Brown Mogotsi.

We still have no substantive response from President Ramaphosa but the Democratic Alliance, a Government of National Unity partner, has now laid criminal charges against Minister Mchunu.

The drama surrounding Gen. Mkhwanazi's bombshell statements keeps unfolding. He alleged widespread corruption across the South African justice system, including Police Minister Senzo Mchunu. Mchunu, after staying quiet initially, has released a statement addressing the statements pertaining to Cat Matlatla and Brown Mogotsi. However, there are some key differences now to his previous assertions.

On top of this, there have been rumours bubbling online of efforts to stoke rioting in KZN, similar to those seen in July 2021. Once again, Duduzile Zuma is in the mix
