Civic organisation, SANCO condemns Diepsloot vigilante attacks

PRETORIA - Civic organisation, SANCO has condemned the vigilante attacks that claimed seven lives in Diepsloot at the weekend.

It says these killings represent a dangerous erosion of the rule of law and undermine the very fabric of our society. Five people linked to the attacks are appearing at Randburg Magistrate's Court.

SANCO's Gauteng Chairperson Abram Mashishi says the Diepsloot community has a challenge of under resourced police stations. He says crime in the area is on the rise and residents are fed-up.
