JOHANNESBURG - Cosatu says South Africa is struggling to make progress in its transformation agenda.
The most worrying aspect is the country's economic growth, which has been disappointing since the COVID-19 pandemic.
Cosatu spokesperson Sizwe Pamla said some of the reversals they are starting to witness are of the progress we were making.
"We are starting to see the erosion of hard-won rights. We have not transformed the economy," he said.
"We have to create an economy that is growing. We are failing and as a result, spend a lot of money on social welfare.
"Government is trying but making wrong choices. To still hear people say these policies will help people is really very disappointing."
