Private sector must help fund students, says education foundation

JOHANNESBURG - The Foundation for Education and Social Justice Africa is calling on the Higher Education minister to stop academic and financial exclusions this year.

The readjustments required after the Covid-19 pandemic have taken their toll on many students.

The organisation says there are many who owe universities huge amounts in unpaid fees.

Deputy chairperson Hendrick Makaneta says the private sector should join hands with government to help cash-strapped students.
