JOHANNESBURG - South Africa has regressed by 20 years in areas such as unemployment and basic service delivery.
That is according to Songezo Zibi, author and chairperson of the Rivonia Circle.
This comes ahead of the State of the Nation Address on Thursday.

This year’s address comes amid several issues that require urgent attention, including the energy crisis.
"In 2007 unemployment was still high and is now over 30 percent," he says.
"Eskom is producing as much electricity as it did 30 years ago."
Zibi goes on to say that when the ANC came into power, the country was hugely indebted.
"This year, the Treasury expects that we will pay over R335-billion in debt," he says.
