JOHANNESBURG - Intelligence analyst Helmoed Heitman says South Africans should heed the warning from the American embassy.
Although the South African government has told its residents that there is no threat from terrorists, Heitman says South Africans should nevertheless remain vigilant.

On Wednesday, the US Government issued an alert for a possible terror attack in Sandton, Johannesburg this weekend.
The embassy said it received information that terrorists may be planning to attack and target large gatherings of people.
